Cyanotype-on-Paper

Beginning in 2012, I started the exploration of cyanotype-on-paper, a way to create images in the dark room by photographers. Honoring the alternative photographic process invented by Sir John Frederick William Herschel in the 1840’s, and first used by Anne Atkins, a botanist, in an 1843 book that included cyanotype images, I have updated their methods, using a chemistry that quickly develops images on paper. To create my images, I use textured, fine art paper, and a variety of layering techniques. Each image is unique.
